Following a brief suspension, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the updated schedule for the remainder of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 season. A total of 17 matches will be played across six venues, commencing on May 17, 2025, and culminating with the final on June 3, 2025.

The revised schedule has been necessitated by recent regional tensions, leading to a reshuffling of venues to ensure the safety and security of all stakeholders.

  • Total Matches: 17 remaining matches.

  • Double-Headers: Two double-headers are scheduled on two Sundays.
  • Rescheduled Match: The previously suspended match between Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Delhi Capitals (DC) will be replayed from the beginning on May 24, 2025, in Jaipur.
  • Playoff Venues: The venues for the playoff matches (Qualifier 1, Eliminator, and Qualifier 2) will be announced at a later date.

New Venues for the Remainder of IPL 2025:

The remaining league stage matches will be held across the following six venues:

  1. Bengaluru: M. Chinnaswamy Stadium
  2. Jaipur: Sawai Mansingh Stadium (becomes a new home venue for Punjab Kings)
  3. Delhi: Arun Jaitley Stadium
  4. Lucknow: Ekana Cricket Stadium
  5. Ahmedabad: Narendra Modi Stadium
  6. Mumbai: Wankhede Stadium

Notably, some previously scheduled matches have been moved to these new venues. For instance, Punjab Kings will now play their remaining home games in Jaipur instead of Dharamsala. Similarly, the match between Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals has been moved to Delhi.
