Opener Aaron Johnson was dismissed early for a duck, and Pargat Singh soon followed, leaving Canada in a tricky situation. However, a crucial 47-run partnership between opener Yuvraj Samra (28 runs) and captain Nicholas Kirton (42 runs) steadied the innings.
The standout performance came from Kanwarpal Tathgur, who smashed an unbeaten 53 runs off just 32 balls, including four fours and two sixes. His explosive knock ensured Canada reached a competitive total of 162 for five in their allotted 20 overs.
Cayman Islands Falters in Chase as Sharma Shines
In response, the Cayman Islands struggled to build significant partnerships against a disciplined Canadian bowling attack. While openers Jermaine Baker (30 runs) and Akshay Naidoo (24 runs) provided a brief resistance, the middle and lower order collapsed rapidly.
